Dress Code for playing golf
Shirts:
To
be the pique or polo with collar and either long or short sleeves
type
Shirts must be tucked into trousers.
Tee
shirts, with round or crew necks, rugby shirts or athletic vests
are not acceptable.
Shorts:
If
you decide to wear shorts on the course, in preference to trousers,
they should be tailored i.e. complete with fly, pockets and proper
creases. They should not be made of denim or other patched or fluorescent
material.
All shorts worn on the course should have a hem that ends no less
than 75mm ( 3 inches ) above the knee.
Shorts that do not meet these requirements will
not be allowed.
Football,
Rugby, Squash or any other variety of sports shorts not meeting
the requirements listed above are not allowed.
Socks:
When
wearing shorts, socks should be traditional knee length socks or
recognized short sports socks. The wearing of shoes without socks
is not acceptable.
Football
or Rugby socks and normal day to day ankle socks are not acceptable.
Shoes:
Recognised
golf shoes, either with spikes (soft spikes are acceptable) or dimpled
soles are required for the course.
Training
shoes of any description or footwear other than recognised golf
shoes are not acceptable.
Hats:
Must
be worn correctly, the wearing of hats back to front
is not allowed.
