Clayton cup

One of the most enjoyable fixtures in a Golf Club’s calendar is the annual match between Ladies and Seniors and at Clevedon this year it was no exception.

The mixed greensomes format proved popular as thirty six pairings battled it out for the Clayton Cup.

Steve Coller and Jill Middleton, although last out immediately threw down the gauntlet scoring birdies on the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th holes. Their good form continued putting them clear at the top of the leader board on 40 points. Club captain David Fife partnered by Susie Gibbins and Tony Brown partnered by Ruth Steele both finished just one point behind.
