Ladies

Clevedon Golf Club has an active, thriving and very friendly ladies section with over 90 playing members.
Wednesday is our designated ladies competition day with the tee booked for us in the morning. Every Wednesday sees a different ladies competition. Working ladies are an important part of our section and we try to accommodate their golfing needs as much as possible, they are able to play in the Wednesday competition after work in the summer without requiring a reserved tee time.
We also run a ladies monthly Sunday medal competition and the ladies are also encouraged to play in the Saturday club competitions. There is also a strong mixed golf tradition with both club competitions and matches against other clubs.
Our ladies section comprises ladies of all standards of golf from low to high handicaps and beginners. We are lucky to have an extremely active junior section; it is lovely to see the youngsters develop their golfing skills and we hope the girls will eventually take their place in our ladies section.

We run both an A and B Team which play in the Bristol and District Lady Golfers’ Alliance. Our A team having achieved excellent results last season and ended as Division winners so have now been promoted to Division two in the league. We also run a very well supported ‘Friendly Team’.
During the summer we have ‘Away Days’ and an ‘Away Weekend’ as well as many other opportunities for the ladies to get together and promote a friendly and happy atmosphere.
We are justly proud of our beautiful course and would encourage any ladies interested to contact us and we would be more than happy to welcome you and play a round of golf with you.
